Preston North End Officially Launches The Lillies!
Preston North End has laid down the gauntlet to other Carling Premiership and Coca Cola Championship football clubs by launching the UK’s sexiest cheerleaders.
The PNE Lillies will entertain North End fans before the game and at half-time on match days at Deepdale. They’ll also sell tickets for the UK’s first 'Car for a Quid' draw where a North End fan is guaranteed to win a new car at every home match.
The PNE Lillies are the brainchild of North End's Chief Executive Steve Jackson and he is hoping that they prove to be a popular part of the match day experience.
"For years the ever growing female fan at Deepdale has been treat to the sight of fit young lads running around the pitch and with the majority of our fan base being male this a chance to even up the balance.
"With the exception of perhaps Arsenal, no football team can guarantee three points every week! But I am sure everyone one will agree that the 'PNE Lillies' are winners whatever the score."
Fern, Tuberose, Fennell and the rest of the 14 girls are already generating a cult following at North End.
On only the second home game of the season against Sheffield United the girls were swamped by crowds of admirers – many requesting autographs, kisses and taking photographs on camera mobile phones.
The PNE Lillies are delighted with the North End fans’ response. The months spent scouring the North West for the most attractive cheerleaders to entertain the North End faithful is already paying off as they explain,
“The days when pre-match entertainment was just a pie and peas are long one. Preston North End are committed to enhancing the total match day experience fro every fan and I’m proud that the PNE Lillies are a part of that.
“We know that other football clubs have cheerleaders too - but none of them can hold a candle to the PNE Lillies!”
