Investment & Value

DR26 OCD is a current-style registration. While the current format is still issued, specific combinations with strong personal associations — particularly short, meaningful initials — command significant premiums on the secondary market. Personalised number plates are a tangible, portable asset. Unlike most purchases, a desirable plate retains and can appreciate in value over time. NewReg has been trading since 1989 and can advise on valuation — call 01772 566400.

• Why are some DR26 OCD listings priced much lower than the market rate? +
Some dealers advertise plates with a headline figure such as “from £200”, which can refer to their minimum site-wide price rather than an actual price for DR26 OCD. Personalised number plates have a strong track record as alternative investments. DR26 OCD is a Current style registration — plates at this price point reflect genuine collector demand and limited availability. Plates are not a guaranteed investment — values depend on demand, plate format, and letter combination.
