Plate Details

DS59 EKS is a current-style registration issued in September 2009. Current style plates use a two-letter area code, a two-digit year code (59), and a three-letter random sequence. The 59 area code identifies it as originating from the Shrewsbury DVLA office, covering West Midlands. Under DVLA rules, this plate can be assigned to any vehicle first registered on or after September 2009 — it cannot make a vehicle appear newer than it actually is.
