Plate Details

ED02 RED is a current-style registration issued in March 2002. Current style plates use a two-letter area code, a two-digit year code (02), and a three-letter random sequence. The 02 area code identifies it as originating from the Chelmsford DVLA office, covering East of England. Under DVLA rules, this plate can be assigned to any vehicle first registered on or after March 2002 — it cannot make a vehicle appear newer than it actually is.
