Frequently Asked Questions

• What could AA26 AAD represent? +
Many people would see AA26 AAD as representing the name or word Aaaaaaaa. As with all personalised number plates, the registration has no official meaning — it is a combination of letters and numbers issued by the DVLA that buyers choose for its personal significance.
• Where is the cheapest place to buy AA26 AAD? +
NewReg.co.uk currently lists AA26 AAD at £2,585, with a total all-in cost from £2,665 including the £80 DVLA transfer fee. NewReg operates a price match guarantee — if you find the same plate advertised cheaper by another dealer, we will beat that price. Full DVLA transfer handling is included at no extra charge beyond the £80 DVLA fee. Finance is also available from approximately £225 per month (0% APR, subject to status).
• Why are some AA26 AAD listings priced much lower than the market rate? +
Some dealers advertise plates with a headline figure such as “from £200”, which can refer to their minimum site-wide price rather than an actual price for AA26 AAD. The genuine market value of AA26 AAD reflects its specific characteristics — plate format, letter combination, rarity and any name or word that buyers may associate with it. NewReg lists AA26 AAD at £2,585 — the true market price — with a price match guarantee: if you find AA26 AAD legitimately offered cheaper by another UK dealer, we will beat that price.
• What is included when I buy AA26 AAD from NewReg? +
Your purchase of AA26 AAD from NewReg includes: full DVLA transfer service — we handle all paperwork on your behalf at no extra charge beyond the standard DVLA transfer fee, a certificate of entitlement, and road-legal acrylic number plates. The £80 DVLA transfer fee is shown separately at checkout and paid direct to the DVLA. NewReg has been a DVLA-recognised reseller and CNDA member since 1989.
• Where was AA26 AAD originally issued? +
The AA area code on AA26 AAD identifies it as having been issued by the Peterborough DVLA office, covering the East of England area of the UK.
• Can I put AA26 AAD on my car? +
Under DVLA rules, a number plate cannot make a vehicle appear newer than it is. AA26 AAD can be assigned to a vehicle first registered on or after the same period or newer — it cannot be placed on a vehicle registered before that date.
• Can I buy AA26 AAD on finance? +
Yes — AA26 AAD is eligible for 0% APR finance through NewReg's finance partner. Based on the current price of £2,585, monthly payments start from approximately £225. Finance is available on plates priced between £250 and £25,000, subject to status and approval.
• Does NewReg offer a price guarantee on AA26 AAD? +
Yes. NewReg guarantees you will not find AA26 AAD advertised cheaper by any other UK dealer. If you do find a lower price for the same plate, we will beat it — our guarantee covers the full cost including the plate rights, VAT, and the DVLA transfer fee.
